The Rolex GMT-Master II Ref. 16710 is one of the most coveted sports models in Rolex history and is considered a true icon among frequent travelers and collectors. This example from 1993 comes from the early production phase of the reference and combines classic design with the practical GMT function to display a second time zone. With its timeless 40 mm Oyster case and the characteristic rotating 24-hour bezel, the GMT-Master II remains one of the most sought-after Rolex references to this day.
The reference 16710 were offered with various bezel inserts – including the legendary variants “Pepsi” (Red/Blue), “Coke” (Red/Black) or completely Black. The aluminum bezel gives the watch its distinctive vintage character and often develops a coveted patina over the years. Early models from 1993 Tritium dials are also typical and particularly valued by collectors.
