Description
Panerai Radiomir 3 Days Platinum Ref. PAM00373 "Special Edition"
The Panerai Radiomir 3 Days Platinum with reference PAM00373 from the exclusive Special Edition of 2012 (delivered and documented until around 2014) is an absolutely rare grail for Panerai collectors worldwide. Limited to a worldwide small edition of only 300 pieces, this masterpiece pays homage to one of the most mystical and sought-after historical references of the brand: the legendary vintage Radiomir Ref. 2533 from the late 1930s. By combining the purest and heaviest of all precious metals with a radically minimalist dial design, Panerai creates here a work of art of museum-like elegance – the ultimate embodiment of purist history and absolute high-end luxury.
-
Solid case made of 950 platinum: The monumental 47 mm cushion case is entirely made of highly polished platinum. Platinum not only gives the watch an incomparable, majestic weight on the wrist but also impresses with its deep, characteristic white shine, which clearly distinguishes it from stainless steel and never tarnishes.
-
The legendary "2533" dial in purist look: The absolute highlight of this Special Edition is the deep brown sandwich dial. It completely forgoes Arabic numerals or brand logos. Instead, purist stick indices and dot indices at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock dominate, as well as the distinctive double stick at 12 o'clock. This historic layout goes directly back to the very first Radiomir prototype from 1936.
-
The classic sandwich construction: Typical for Panerai, the dial consists of two superimposed discs. The lower disc is generously coated with an ecru-colored Super-LumiNova luminous material, which shines through the precisely cut indices of the upper disc. This creates a magnificent three-dimensionality and the authentic vintage look.
-
Historic Acrylic Glass (Plexiglas®): To perfectly capture the spirit of the historical originals, a strikingly domed, 2.8 mm thick Acrylic Glass protects the front of the watch. It gives the dial an incomparable, warm optical distortion when light hits it from the side, which cannot be replicated with modern Sapphire Crystal. A replacement glass is traditionally included in the set for Special Editions of this series.
-
Manufacture caliber P.3000 with 3 days power reserve: The in-house hand-wound movement can be admired through the Sapphire Crystal case back. Equipped with two barrels, the robust caliber delivers a confident power reserve of 72 hours (3 days). It also features a practical quick-setting hour hand adjustment in one-hour increments without affecting the minute hand.
-
Classic Radiomir details: The case features the historic removable wire lugs (Wire Loops) and the patented, conical winding crown engraved with the OP logo, which fits perfectly into the aerodynamic overall design of the cushion shape.
-
Exclusive strap setup: This collector's piece is worn on a high-quality brown alligator leather strap that perfectly underscores the elegant character of the platinum case. It is secured by a solid pin buckle, which is also made of platinum to match the case.
-
An extremely rare collector's cult object (vintage 2014): With a worldwide limitation of only 300 pieces, the PAM00373 is one of the most exclusive Special Editions Panerai has ever released. It is not an ordinary watch but a historic statement for absolute connoisseurs seeking the purest DNA of the Florentine brand in the most luxurious materialization possible.
