The IWC Pilot’s Watch Split-Second Chronograph TOP GUN IW371815 combines the distinctive aesthetics of the IWC Pilot’s Watch collection with modern material technology and a sophisticated chronograph complication. The completely black appearance gives the watch a particularly technical, sporty, and at the same time militarily inspired character.
The 44 mm case is made of Ceratanium®, a material developed by IWC that combines the lightness and robustness of Titanium with the scratch-resistant, matte black surface of Ceramic. IWC describes the IW371815 as the brand’s first pilot’s watch in a fully black “Jet Black” design.
Inside, the automatic IWC Caliber 79420 operates. The watch features a Split-Second Chronograph, also called Rattrapante, which allows intermediate times to be measured. This clearly distinguishes this model from classic pilot chronographs and offers an additional technical function that is especially appreciated by collectors.
The black dial with contrasting white displays ensures the typical excellent legibility of an IWC pilot’s watch. In addition to hour, minute, and small seconds, the watch offers chronograph functions, a date display, and a day-of-the-week display. The sporty black strap perfectly completes the consistently dark TOP GUN look.
