Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph (Ref. 26331IP) – 20th Anniversary
The 26331IP is an exclusive edition celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Royal Oak Chronograph line. It impresses with a rare and refined material combination of Titanium and platinum.
Material Mix & Case
The 41 mm case is primarily made of lightweight, brushed Titanium. The special feature lies in the details: the iconic octagonal bezel and the central links of the bracelet are made of highly polished 950 platinum. This contrast between the darker, matte Titanium and the radiant shine of platinum gives the watch a unique visual depth.
Dial Design
The dial in “Slate Grey” features the classic “Grande Tapisserie” pattern. The blue subdials for the Chronograph functions provide a sporty accent and excellent legibility. The hands and applied indices made of White Gold are coated with luminescent material.
Movement & Technology
Inside works the Caliber 2385, a flat Automatic Chronograph movement with column wheel mechanism. It is based on the legendary Frédéric Piguet 1185 and allows a case height of only 11 mm, which is exceptionally elegant and slim for a Chronograph of this class. The power reserve is approximately 40 hours.
Exclusivity
Although not officially strictly limited, the reference 26331IP was produced in very small quantities and was primarily reserved for AP boutiques. It is considered by collectors as one of the most sought-after modern versions of the Royal Oak Chronograph, as it combines the robustness of Titanium with the ultimate exclusivity of platinum.
