The Rolex GMT-Master II with reference 116710BLNR from 2018 is an absolute milestone reference in the history of modern Geneva sports watches. As the first wristwatch ever made with a two-tone Cerachrom ceramic bezel crafted from a single ceramic block, the “Batman”, as collectors named it, made its debut in 2013. The 2018 example marks the late, mature phase of this iconic generation - characterized by the classic three-row Oyster bracelet and the indestructible in-house Calibre 3186.

Confident 40 mm Super Case in Oystersteel: Crafted from high-strength 904L stainless steel (Oystersteel), the distinctive case impresses with its broader lugs and substantial crown guards (“Super Case”). The combination of satin-finished surfaces and mirror-polished sides gives the watch a distinctly sporty, masculine appearance.

Revolutionary Blue and Black Cerachrom Bezel: The bidirectional 24-hour bezel features the groundbreaking two-tone ceramic insert. Blue represents the daytime hours, while Black represents the night hours. The engraved numerals are elaborately filled with a fine layer of platinum using the PVD process.

Deep Black Dial with Blue GMT Hand: The Black dial creates a perfect contrast with the large applied hour markers and hands in 18-karat White Gold. The bright Blue GMT hand, with its characteristic arrow tip, enables the simultaneous reading of a second time zone. All hour markers are filled with blue-emitting Chromalight material.
