The Rolex Datejust 31 with reference 178240 from 2020 embodies the versatile midsize model from the Geneva manufacture in a timeless, flawless stainless steel look. With its balanced case diameter of 31 mm, this reference bridges the gap between the smaller Woman models and the classic Men models. The 2020 production year marks the final production year of this extremely popular generation of Ref. 178240, before it was completely replaced by the newer 278xxx references. Equipped with the domed bezel, the proven Calibre 2235 and steel elegance, it is regarded as a reliable everyday dress watch classic.

Confident 31 mm midsize case made of Oystersteel: Crafted from high-strength 904L stainless steel (Oystersteel), the harmoniously proportioned case impresses with finely mirror-polished flanks and satin-finished surfaces.

Smooth, domed stainless steel bezel: The high-gloss polished, domed bezel stylishly frames the dial, gives the watch a clear, purist profile and underscores its sporty-elegant character.

Versatile dial selection with Chromalight or Super-LumiNova® luminescence: Available in timeless dial variants such as Pink, Silver, Black, White or with Roman or Arabic appliqués. The applied indices and hands are made of 18-karat White Gold to permanently prevent tarnishing.
